Welcome to the new Planet Rugby fitness section brought to you in association with ProSport. Over the coming months ProSport will be helping Planet Rugby readers stay in top shape by running useful features on health and fitness as well as injury prevention and treatment.
During the course of the World Cup ProSport have commissioned Saracens physio Nigel Roe to update readers on World Cup injuries (see Nigel's credentials below) as well as in-depth guides on how to maintain general fitness and avoid injuries.

* Nigel Roe has been the first-team Physiotherapist at Saracens Rugby since 1999. He is a New Zealand trained Manipulative Physiotherapist, having undertaken post-graduate studies at Otago University in Dunedin NZ to specialise in musculoskeletal problems.
He comes from a southern hemisphere rugby background, having worked with the North Harbour team in Auckland New Zealand during the mid-90s. On the International front, he spent four years as the Fijian national side's physiotherapist through to the last Rugby World Cup.
Since that time he has been based full-time at Saracens Rugby in North London.
