Portugal face Morocco in January. Win that and they then play Uruguay for the last spot at the 2007 Rugby World Cup's final tournament in France.

The matches in 2007 will be the first round of the Championship which is now played home and away over two years. Each team will thus play ten matches.

Spain are promoted back to Division 1 with Ukraine demoted.
