'Get your house in order' Lux tells RFU

European Rugby Cup (ERC) chairman Jean-Pierre Lux has urged England's Rugby Football Union (RFU) to resolve its differences with the country's elite Premiership clubs in a bid to save next season's European Cup, currently under threat from a proposed boycott by French sides.

Tigers are eyeing a home semi

Former champions Leicester will have a home semi-final in the European Cup against either Llanelli or Munster - provided they can beat Stade Francais in the last eight - after a draw made at Twickenham Tuesday.

Biarritz invite the Saints to Spain

Biarritz secured pole position in the race to hoist the Heineken Cup by recording a workmanlike 17-8 victory over Northampton Saints at Franklin's Gardens, setting up a rematch with their vanquished hosts - the Saints will travel to San Sebastián in Spain for the quarter-final.

Scarlets secure silver - at least

Llanelli Scarlets secured a top-two seeding courtesy of a hard-fought 20-16 victory over London Irish at Stradey Park on Sunday. Should Biarritz fail to beat Northampton in Sunday's later game, the Welsh side will go into the Heineken Cup quarter-finals as top seeds - not a bad state affairs for a side tipped to prop up their group.

Tigers bare their teeth in Limerick

Munster's quest to defend their European crown hit the skids in dramatic style at Thomond Park on Saturday as Leicester Tigers pulled off a brutal 13-6 victory that leaves the reigning Heineken Cup heading for the door marked 'visitors' come the quarter-finals.
